Report on the trip to Palestine and the surrounding country of extraordinary professor. Author of the book - Akim A. Oleśnica (1842-1907) - Russian historian, archaeologist and biblical scholar, professor of biblical archeology of the Kiev Theological Academy. In 1873-1874, 1886 and 1889 Akim A. on behalf of the Academy made a trip to the Holy Land, and in 1891 took part in a scientific expedition, studied the monuments of Transjordan. These trips have given a lot of Oleśnica. As biographer wrote: "The professor was a rare expert in the Old Testament, and the Bible was for him not a collection of difficult texts and light, and the running of the Book", a result of his first research trip was written work "The Holy Land. Jerusalem and its ancient monuments, "for which AA Oleśnica in 1877 and received his doctorate in theology. The book contains interesting information about ancient monuments in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Galilee, Phoenicia, and Lebanon. The publication is accompanied by drawings of the author.
