The water purification capsule can be used to treat limited volumes of raw water to NCCLS Type III water or treat about 145 gallons of 1 grain or 17.1 ppm Reverse Osmosis Permeate to the same standards. The capsule is made of clear PVC. The capsule is filled with high-capacity mixed bed ion-exchange resin made up of 40% Cation resin and 60% Anion resin. The capsule can be opened to allow the disposal of exhausted resin to be refiled with freshly regenerated mixed-bed resin.
